Understanding Immunity

Your immune system is your body's defense against infections. Vaccines play a critical role by training your immune system to recognize and fight harmful viruses and bacteria before they cause illness. Maintaining up-to-date immunizations is essential for long-term health and community well-being.

Immunity and Vaccination Services at Invara Pharmacy

Our Vaccinations

We provide a range of CDC-recommended vaccines to keep you healthy year-round. See below for options available at Invara Pharmacy in Sultan, WA.

Seasonal Flu Shot vaccine

Seasonal Flu Shot

Flu strains change every year, which is why an annual flu shot is your best defense. We offer current-season influenza vaccines that protect against the strains expected to circulate. For our patients aged 65 and older, a high-dose option is available, formulated with more antigen to prompt a stronger immune response and help reduce the risk of flu-related complications.

Shingles Vaccine

Shingles Vaccine

Shingles causes a painful, blistering rash and can lead to long-term nerve pain called postherpetic neuralgia. The recombinant zoster vaccine (Shingrix) provides strong protection, over 90% effective, and is recommended for healthy adults 50 years and older. It is given as a two-dose series (separated by 2 to 6 months) and is recommended even if you have had shingles before.

Pneumococcal Vaccine

Pneumococcal Vaccine

Guard yourself against pneumococcal pneumonia, meningitis, and bloodstream infections with a CDC-recommended pneumococcal vaccine. The CDC recommends pneumococcal vaccination for all adults 65 years or older, and for adults aged 19 to 64 with certain risk factors such as diabetes, chronic heart or lung disease, or smoking. Our pharmacist can help determine which option is right for you.

HPV Vaccine

HPV Vaccine

The HPV vaccine protects against human papillomavirus, which can cause cervical, throat, and other cancers as well as genital warts. The CDC recommends routine HPV vaccination at age 11 or 12, with catch-up vaccination through age 26. Adults aged 27 through 45 may also benefit based on individual risk, and our pharmacist can help you decide if it is right for you.

Tdap Vaccine

Tdap Vaccine

Tdap is a combination vaccine that protects against three serious bacterial diseases: Tetanus (which enters the body through cuts), Diphtheria, and Pertussis (Whooping Cough). It is crucial for adults to receive a Tdap or Td booster every 10 years. It is especially important for prospective parents, grandparents, and caregivers to help prevent passing whooping cough to newborns who are too young to be vaccinated.

Covid Vaccines

Covid Vaccines

Stay protected against current COVID-19 variants with the updated CDC-recommended vaccines available at Invara Pharmacy. The CDC recommends an updated COVID-19 vaccine for everyone 6 months and older. Our pharmacists can help you decide on the right schedule for boosters, including additional doses for those who are immunocompromised or at higher risk.

Abrysvo Vaccine

Abrysvo Vaccine (RSV)

Abrysvo helps protect adults 60 and older, and pregnant women during weeks 32 to 36, against respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). RSV can cause serious lower-respiratory illness, especially in older adults and infants. Talk to our pharmacist about whether Abrysvo is right for you or to schedule the maternal dose during your pregnancy.
